Hell I would inhabit an abandoned aircraft carrier (it’s an amphibious assault ship really, actual carriers are SO much bigger...) in an instant. Blame the housing crisis.
I cannot overstate how *fun* this game actually was. First Far Cry I enjoyed since... ever actually. I tried playing FC5 after that and it just didn’t hold up.

In the Japanese version, hard. In the US version (I don’t think SOR3 was ever released in Europe), easy was normal (so you didn’t get the proper ending), normal was hard (regular ending). The higher difficulties in the US version were just insane iirc.

basic patch on first playthrough for sure. The plus patch is more like a mod.
I’d get it on GOG. 5 bucks, unofficial patch (basic version, bugfixes only) included.

I wouldn’t bother with Redemption. It was mediocre when it came out, and it hasn’t exactly aged well...
The unofficial basic patch by wesp5 makes it pretty much bug-free. It’s still getting updates every couple months.
