I managed to have the avatar counter at zero several times during the late game, thanks to covert ops. At some point you just snowball.

I wish I hadn’t deleted my savegame. I had a (small) freighter, a lube farm, 48-slot ship (c-class, because it was from v1.0) and about 75 million units.

Smack talk isn’t an issue on lan parties, but Quake had a thing Duke didn’t: rocket jumps and vertical movement. Death from above!

Shit, Quake 1 was awesome. I remember I had to drag my friends screaming away from Duke3D and into deathmatch and the Team Fortress and CTF mods. Good times.
