TSA doesn't have to get into high-speed rail if the government gets its shit together. I've been to an airport and it's a hassle. Regardless, timing for Acela you're correct, I should've corrected my post. I confused Acela with an actual high-speed operation in a civilized country.

The reason it's popular is that it's faster...because you don't have to stand in line for 3 hours and get your privates felt by a TSA agent.
