All You Need is... Live, Die, Repea... Edge of Tomorrow?

For some reason, I just got really into Sinister, even though its not that different from other horror movies in its scares, I like the idea of a world where ancient polytheistic Gods were still roaming around, and who had odd movie format loyalties. I'd enjoy a sequel about an Egyptian god that only does its work

"it doesn't damage the experience of the original"

Well put. You make an excellent point. That bad remakes tend to outnumber good ones simply because bad movies outnumber good ones, period. Remakes are not, by definition, the devil. I'd rather watch a good remake than a bad "original" movie.

Furthermore, a remake should not be seen as "replacing" or supplanting a

Exactly. Plus when a bad remake gets released, it makes people wanna watch the original if they haven't seen it, and sometimes even if they have! Same goes for songs *cough* The Glee Effect*cough*.

Theres no way in hell they would be able to do a remake of Videodrone that would be better than the original ESPECIALLY with the idea listed.

And remember, Hollywood has a LONG tradition of remaking films, often with great success. Best examples I can think of: The Magnificent Seven; Cape Fear; The Departed; A Fist Full of Dollars . . .

Wait ... "the creatures swore revenge"? The xenomorphs ... swore to get revenge? So now they have language and culture and memories about being nuked from orbit?

The only thing I like less than the prequels is sand. I hate sand.

Can we please not call them "pro-vaxxers?" We don't call all tenured biologists pro-evolutionists or all board certified physicians pro-AIDS-truthers. There's no such thing as a pro-vaxx person or physician. There are normal, functional, educated people, and there are vaxx-deniers, AIDS-deniers, and evolution deniers.

Instead of "pro-vaxxers" can we just be "normal people" or "rational everyday humans?" I don't want these anti-vax people to be given any more ideas that this bullshit is a two-sided "debate."

Give people the ability to opt into a system that holds them accountable for their choices, and they'll make choices that result in maximum efficiency. Force people into a system they don't choose, and they will take advantage of it, even if it makes for a worse system overall.

You're not alone. I loved Oblivion.

Couldn't agree more. Oh, except Oblivion. That was a turd, but I agree with everything else you wrote.
