I never said it was cheap, just that it was perfectly affordable. If you live somewhere everyone else wants to live, you’re going to pay more rent, but you’ll probably also make more money too.

I lived there about 5 years ago, and it was $825 for ~500-550sqft? Pretty standard studio size. I recently needed to rent an apartment in between houses and while I need a bigger place now, that same apartment is going for $925. Totally affordable on an average-ish salary.

I don’t know, my old studio in suburban San Diego (good neighborhood) still rents for under a thousand. It’s not that bad out here for what you get.

Discrimination is perfectly legal. What part of that is confusing? Discrimination against certain protected classes, in certain instances, by the government, is illegal. “Rich people” are not a protected class, and the progressive income tax has been a thing for a while now. Sounds like more “hurrdurr class warefare

There’s so little liquid being dispensed I wouldn’t be surprised if the results were the same. I love the sprays too, just for ease of application, but ounce-for-ounce they’re impossibly expensive. A large can will be hard-pressed to give full coverage for me and the bikini-clad wife.

First of all “Ice Chef” is a ridiculous title, as in worthy of ridicule. Ignoring that, this quote “Aesthetic is huge, but it’s almost more about preservation—crystal clear ice is physically filtered” is nonsense. It’s ridiculous on its face. Ice is cloudy because of dissolved gas interfering with crystal structure

I’m really not that concerned about IF I can upgrade, a better question I’d like answered is SHOULD I? The hardware on my eligible computers is fairly old and I’m not going to upgrade it. Will I see any benefits from upgrading from either Win7 or 8.1 to 10?

Photos are what cause me to bump up against my dropbox limit, as all my phone shots go directly there. I prune and organize regularly, but now I can just move them all over to Amazon and have 90% of my dropbox space back.

Sorry? Vienna lager? Czech Pilsener? English Bitters? Australian Sparkling ale? Can you give some examples of beer styles from other countries that weren't included on this list?

The BA Style guidelines include most old-world styles that originated in the west, mostly England, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, Germany, France, the Czech Republic etc, as well as some new-world styles originating in the US, New Zealand, Australia among many others. Lots of styles you think are original are just

He lies, it's actually pretty easy. I'm actually a lie-trainer. You can send $500 to my paypal and I'll teach you how to be a world class liar.

Thanks for posting this. I'm not sure when it will be appropriate to have this conversation with my parents. I'm in my late twenties, and my parents are in their late sixties, both getting very close to retirement. They've mentioned some of their plans, but in no great detail, and because they've already gone through

"Never yell or make it known to the cat that you are the source of the spritz of water hitting it." This SOUNDS like good advice, but if you take a second and think about it, this is totally impossible. When your cat gets wet, it's going to freak out, look for the source of the fluid, and find you standing/sitting

Bought this as a stopgap before picking up the nexus 6. The screen is amazing and really in the sweet spot for size. I love the gestures and the 2-day battery life is amazing (yes, I really do get more than 48 hours of moderate to heavy use out of it). I'll never buy a 1-day battery life phone again. Definitely not

Not incredibly surprising. In 1998, the Supra cost a little bit more than a Corvette and made a little bit less power. Should be interesting to see what they come up with.

What the actual fuck? I saw this truck being trailered on my way to work this morning around 8AM in Laguna Niguel CA. That is one hell of a coincidence.

*Wow

And you absolutely cannot find one on the lot for $20k either. Every single one is optioned out to the gills. I was looking for a Cooper S, and didn't see a single one under $30k at three dealerships.

*Woe

Is this being narrated by Daniel Tosh?
