Slow? Uh, the Prizm GSi came with a 4A-GE (something Toyota themselves never deigned to put in a US-bound 4-door); plenty quick for its’ day.

That’s nice. I don’t even have to read the article to say I disagree.
What a ridiculous attitude. Why should I feel bad for haggling at a dealership when said dealer is more than happy to tack on stupid fees and upcharges on the so-called MSRP?
I get it: you work in car sales and feel the need to defend your honour. Here’s an idea: change industries to one that is defensible.
I’ve owned…
“Experienced”??? I most often know more about a vehicle than the “salesperson”. Yes he knows how to point me to the free coffee but their worth stops there. Don’t like it, get a different job. There’s a reason everyone hates car salesman. $70-$150 for what they provide is too much. I buy new or nearly new so…
The irony of your comment is that if they made a law to make everyone pay full price, then there would no longer be a need for salesmen. Build it online and buy it. Be careful what you wish for.
I totally agree that the dealership system is a mess and they need to clean up their act. They have created an environment that customers hate, and from what I gather from you isn’t good for the salespeople either.
I have no idea why I even need a salesperson, give me teslas model all day long. I don’t need some greasy salesman trying to change me 400 bucks for floor mats.
when a car is used to run through a crowd you should tell us the congresscritters who took money from the auto industry too.

A couple years ago I designed a koala exhibit for the local zoo. As a part of my design work, I researched koalas. They are... not the best…

Man, how I wish I had opportunities like these growing up.
How dare deadspin publish a post by Mr. Petchesky, with his slavic sounding name, on this, the 5th anniversary of the Ljubljana Marshes hot air balloon crash in Slovenia. I am aghast at the insensitivity.
Red blood cells have been around for like, billions of years. Let’s replace them with something else.
If only there were a way to combine a homogenous-charge engine with a hybrid drivetrain…

As i explained in other part of the thread, I am not defending slavery. The article stated that africans “could not imagine that any civilized human being could possibly believe he owned another human being.”
I was pointing out that they, in fact, did imagine this. They had a system set up for doing this. Europeans…
