Maybe the worst adaptation of all time. It’s definitely in the top 5 at least.

This the first book I read from author Larry Niven. Once I read this book I was hooked & proceeded to buy every book Niven has ever written.

This is a good point. I remember a study done on people who have had damage to the parts of their brain that feel emotions. They have real difficulty making decisions, because nothing helps them narrow down the options, and they don't feel satisfaction when they choose.
