My girlfriend somewhat appreciates my E39. I'm sure if I had an E30, she wouldn't appreciate it either. A while back I was actually looking into getting one and she kept asking me why I'd want to buy such an old car. They just don't get it.

Is it just me or is the front end asymmetrical?

They must've designed a custom gearbox since the old drivetrain (V6) was a transverse layout. I doubt they fit the V8 in there sideways and had to change to a longitudinal layout.

That's exactly my point. They'd be so awake and focused on driving that a situation like the one you just mentioned would have even less of a chance of happening!

They probably drive cars that easily exceed the power output of this.
