I would have to say the i3. No, it's not the prettiest or best car etc. What it does showcase is the manufacturing and technology that used to be reserve for super cars are now trickling down to the masses.

The Mazda3 was the star of the show in 2013 but the CX-5 and, more importantly, the Mazda6 saved post-Ford Mazda from a fate worst than Mitsubishi.

For the NA market anyway, the CLA is worth mention - over the top success already with ambitious conquest claims, even with a non luxurious interior and melty styling. The star has more brand equity than some might have thought.
