I was recently traveling from NY with someone who had global entry. Someone who has a lot of money and opinions who I can guarantee is going to blame immigrants for this rather than, you know, the federal government who is actually responsible for this. Reality TV shows in general exist because there is a critical mass of people who are willing to subject themselves to complete humiliation in order to get on television. Without those victims, you have nothing.

Years ago, I had a friend who was trying to get on the show. While he was already very overweight, he was actually trying to gain more weight because of what the producers said they wanted, which was obviously a spectacle.

The problem with the girldad thing that I have is that most of the people that would use it are probably the people who didn’t consider women important until they had a daughter. Now they’re super performatively supportive, but only really as it relates to their daughter.
