Lazy and basic. And he expects a career.

“As the body positivity movement, which began with the radical fat acceptance movement of the 1960s, has been co-opted recently by women of totally socially-acceptable, skinny shapes and sizes who think the movement is just for anyone who feels good or wants to show off their armpit hair”

I like Jameela Jamil and actually kind of endorse this idea. However, it’s hard to put any real faith in the body positivity movement when, 9 times out of 10, the celebrities championing it are themselves examples of mainstream-standard beauty, and who clearly comply with the grueling rigors of maintaining that status

Jameela Jamil, patron saint of reminding the world that we live in a superficial and sexist society as if she were the first to discover that, is taking her “activism” in a slightly different direction.

I think this goes back to the article Hazel wrote in June (properly located under this one, of course) about Lorne Michael as comedy kingmaker on SNL.

It’s because he looks so much like Mike Huckabee, isn’t it?

One other thing - that “liberal media” canard is a piece of propaganda one ROGER AILES pushed on the networks (as is Republicans’ wont) and they apparently swallowed whole.

Unfortunately, it seems no one bothered to vet Gillis, or even give him a cursory Google

And CNN put Corey Lewandowski on New Day this morning at 8am after he admitted lying regularly to the press under questtioning by Berke yesterday. Under oath.

I worked as a field representative for the Census, out of the Philadelphia regional office, for 3 years, doing the American Community Survey (even met that dude Fernando Armstrong quoted in the post). The SECOND Trump took office, doing my job got 1000x harder. I worked in an area with a lot of El Salvadorean

I feel for the Census bureau employees who spent years using decades of best practices preparing for the census, only to have Trump come and muck it up.

I’m not proud of it, but the closest I’ve gotten to being That Middle-Aged White Woman Who Wants to Speak to Your Manager has been when my food delivery order hasn’t come. There’s something elementally enraging about it.

He’ll be invited to be on Barstool in 3... 2... 1...

And HE LOOKS LIKE ALL OF THEM oh jeebus deliver me from tubby doughy aggrieved bog-standard white men and their tired jokes

Reeeeally edgy and risky and new, there, bro.... Surely Asians have never heard the -ink word before, right?

I think the difference is that this is a situation Yang had no need to engage in.

This kind of reminds me of the time that Obama defended that African American college professor who was arrested by a racist Cambridge cop for trying to enter his own home. And then the media and the public went ballistic and Obama ended up having to invite them both to the white house for “a beer” and get photos of

Yang: “I cannot help that 4chan white supremacists seem to like me. I don’t know what that’s all about.”

It’s literally nothing but malignant. Those “jokes” were all a choice. He’s not apologetic about it. He didn’t take any action to change. He tried to HIDE his vile behavior! He knows he’s a piece of shit and tried to cover it up for his own benefit. What the hell is Yang smoking if he thinks that was just bad comedy?

A few different photos, and I got...interesting results. “Mezzo-soprano”, “Parisienne”, and “widow”. I like to think of myself as a many-layered person with a spectrum of facets to my personality, but a French opera singer with a dead spouse has little in common with me.
