I cancelled mine when shit hit the fan last summer. I got a year subscription in February ‘18 to see Black Panther, saw 50 other movies for the next five months, cancelled when I had the chance, and was refunded $65 out of the original $115. So not only did I just watch 50 movies in the theater for $50, but I stuck it

Is this the death of MoviePass, or is it the final twitch of its long-dead carcass?

Theory:

The music of “The Beatles” has always existed in every timeline but unlike Jack of the movie who credits The Beatles, the last two people to retain the memory of the eternal music in our timeline (John and Paul) just took credit for it and enjoyed the ride....

A note about Ed Sheeran! (Words I never expected to say) He is from the same part of the world the movie is set (and keeps a house in Bungay - much to his neighbours chagrin) so it made sense that he might have seen the local TV show. Sorry, I am from Suffolk and this may be the first movie ever set in this bumblefuck

Desperation, I guess

I think the addendum to that rule would probably be any lonely person is susceptible to scams and cults. Our need to belong is strong, and if you don’t have a good support network in place of friends and/or family, then you could very easily fall prey.

After the NVXIUM, or however it’s spelled, scandal broke, I read an article where a psychologist says everyone is vulnerable to scams and cults because of our need to belong. It’s just a matter of which one you would fall for.

A con, and yet still cheaper than a straight saline drip at a US hospital

Oh lordy, how is that legal?! Your body has a perfectly good system for processing and delivering nutrients to your blood, it’s called EATING AND DRINKING. If you are so far gone you need an immediate IV, you should be in a hospital! And any invasive procedure (even one as routine as this) HAS RISKS. Do you want

I imagine it’s hard for Ivanka too* because throughout her whole life, she has gotten pretty much everything she wanted because of family money, including being shielded from bad things like criticism. When her dad became president, I bet this is the first time in her life she has received this much personal criticism

It cracks me up to see Ivanka so desperate to remind everyone of her in-law relationship with Karlie Kloss on social media, because Karlie just responds with silence... crickets.

I hate the word ‘girlboss’ so much, it sounds so damn patronizing. It sounds like something an old man would say while patting you on the head “Aren’t you a cute little girlboss”. Boss is not a gendered word, it’s not necessary to add ‘girl’ to it.

My takeaway from this is that William Jackson Harper only plays characters working on a thesis.

So homelessness started when Trump became President but he fixed it in D.C. But not in the rest of the country where he’s the President too, but just in the town that he lives in.

A, Japan has homelessness.

Someone somewhere wrote a really interesting piece about how me in horror movies ignoring their female companions is a great reflection of reality. It went into detail about how even IF the women in these movies were mistaken/delusional/whatever it shows the men as a kind of monster who ignores the obvious distress of

If movies have taught me anything, it’s this:

The thing that just irrationally upsets me about this movie is that it should have came out on June 24th.

This is like if Independence Day had originally released on July 11th or something.

Don’t name a move after a day if you’re not going to release it on that day.

God damn marketers.
