Idk, she’s successfully tricked people into thinking it’s worth paying $38 just so they can get good Instagram pictures, so she may be the smart one here.

I forget which news outlet published it, but sometime in the past year, I managed to find an article about how minorities in rural areas of the US felt about the 2016 election and being surrounded by white people who likely voted for Trump. We need more articles like that!
I don’t have a baby either (someone who does, feel free to chime in), but I’m guessing it’s sometimes possible to feed to the baby before church, and sometimes not. I’m guessing as the baby gets older, scheduling feedings will probably get easier too?
It’s good that you realize that this is probably something you shouldn’t bring up with your wife. One thing you can tell yourself though is that the noises your baby makes while they eat are definitely less disruptive than the baby crying in the middle of the church because they’re hungry.
Same! Based on how eyebrow trends go, eventually thick ones will be en Vogue again, and what are you going to do with pencil thin eyebrows that take forever to fill out properly then? I made it through middle and high school with unpopular, thick brows. I’m sure doing it again in adulthood will be fine.
I read them a few months ago and they were so much fun to read. It was kind of like reading an adult version of Gossip Girl, set in a different place. And the descriptions of the food made me so hungry...
Having read the books, Crazy Rich Asians is essentially an adult version of Gossip Girl. I’m not saying that disparage the series or the movie, because sometimes you just need to read and watch something light and fun, but if Gossip Girl-esque media is not your cup of tea, then you wouldn’t enjoy it.
I gave into the surge pricing on Sunday, because it was still worth the money. I’m also trying to save up my Regal Rewards points for when MoviePass officially dies. Right now, I have enough points to get three movie tickets, and if I can go again soon, I’ll have enough for four.
I’m at the point where I’m just like, “Okay, how can I get my money’s worth out of this before it dies?” If I wasn’t going on vacation later this week, I’d be seeing so many movies this week.
Somewhat related, I get so annoyed when Trump supporters are like, “Obama also deported people, gotcha liberals!” And it’s like, umm, actually, immigrant rights activists also criticized Obama (and nicknamed him the deporter in chief). Things under him were just not obviously bad/visible enough for other liberals to…
Haha, puberty was around the time my sister and I started asking my parents if we could have a little brother or sister (we were also friends with a set of sisters whose mom had just had another baby), and my parents were pretty much like, “lol, no way that’s happening.”
I doubt a judge would allow it, but you should check out the fairly recent documentary, Three Identical Strangers. An adoption agency essentially got away with separating triplets and twins (at least in the 1960's), and didn’t even tell their adoptive parents that their new kid had birth siblings in case they would…
I would too, but my grandmother is turning 92 this month and her eating habits are also still strangely healthy. I mean, I guess after years of eating healthy, you get used to it, so maybe less healthy food is less appealing to her now?
Also, I meant men in the first paragraph, not me. I believe her.
Twitter is already full of people (both me and women) calling her a psycho and a liar. =(
I guess they had to have some pro-choice characters, and it’s not like they can get a pro-choice, liberal actress to do it. I’m guessing the character will be insanely over the top. Or they’ll go against history and have her change her mind ala Jane Roe (that did actually happen though).
I kind of want to get my hands on a bootleg version if this ever comes to fruition, if only because I can see it as being The Room levels of hilariously awful.
It’s possible her character might be pro-choice, so she’s hoping she can make her case while still cozying up to the conservative elite? It still doesn’t really make sense, but I feel like some conservative white women like Tomi Lahren are in this delusional state where they think that if they’re smart and successful…
Yeah, I’ve volunteered to do some tasks that a person in a currently unfilled position would normally, but only because 1) I can put those tasks on my resume and 2) I need the data that the person who is supposed to be in that position works with in order to do a huge project that is a part of my regular job duties.…
Yeah, I definitely respect the people who are willing to sacrifice their PTO so someone can take maternity leave, but I get disheartened when the reaction to it is, “How nice, look at how well individualized/private donations work! Let’s keep encouraging people to stuff like this!” rather than,”How nice! But why don’t…
