My only defense for him is maybe if it was nighttime when she asked for the McFlurry, he knew that McDonald’s would probably run out of ice cream by the time he got there? This might also just be me being bitter because the McDonald’s near my apartment didn’t have any ice cream when I went by tonight and all I wanted

I have a friend in grad school who’s pretty much a communist, and he’s pretty into Mao. Even though all of the other hardcore socialists/communists are like, “Dude, Mao, really?!”

I was going to nominate Houston, but if they showed any of the restaurants, I’d probably just get super nostalgic and hungry for food I can’t eat anymore. I mean, I live in New York, which has a ton of delicious, different types of food, but it doesn’t have Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits or breakfast tacos,

I found some of the costume my mom made for me back when I was a kid, and they were still in pretty great condition, and my wizard costume actually still fit me, even 16 years later.

I just started volunteering with PPNYC in September! I helped with their All Access event, and i’m currently an alternate for being a health center escort in case someone can’t do their shift.

I should be studying, especially since I went to Halloween parties last night, but i’m watching Hocus Pocus instead... I can study tomorrow?

I’m going to start seeing a therapist again this week, at least while I get 10 free sessions through my grad school’s health center. However, right now,’i’ve been dealing with anxiety by doing yoga. If you don’t have a studio near you, or just want a cheaper option, there are a lot of free yoga videos on YouTube. I

Currently watching Hocus Pocus! Also, earlier today, I hung out with a friend from college who recently moved to New York and we hung out in Brooklyn. We also saw Aziz Ansari at Smorgasborg (outdoor food market) and I think he may have been filming for his Netflix show.

Hmmm, a new member in the school’s Latin dance club (which I help run) thought I was a pro at bachata, even though i’ve only ever had a few lessons, so I guess I can look like an okay dancer, sometimes?

Not drinking now, but my department at school (grad school) had a happy hour event earlier tonight, and I had a hard cider and wine. Thank you school, for providing me with free booze.

Unless she wants you to get a picture of her flipping off Trump Tower, then no, it’s not worth it.

I’m feeling similarly right now. It sucks, and I’m sorry you feel that way too. =( Here is a penguin wearing a pig costume.

I was sick for like half of my winter break last year, thanks to my 8-year-old cousin giving me another cold like the day after I recovered from the first one, because she has no problems with giving me hugs, and then coughing on me.

I’m so happy you want to come here! I have so much to do, but even when I get stressed out, I’m still glad that I decided to go to grad school, and especially Columbia. I’m in the Sociomedical Sciences department and I have a certificate in Sexuality, Sexual, and Reproductive Health (you don’t need to decide on a

Hey, so I’m not an admissions officer, so I can’t say that you’ll for sure get in everywhere you apply, but based on what my application and my classmates’ applications to schools were like, I’d say you seem like a pretty strong candidate. You have good GRE scores, a good GPA, and public health experience, even if it

Hey, I just saw this! I’m currently in my second year of a Master of Public Health program, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I’m sorry you have to deal with so much. =( Grad school is already stressful enough on its own (I may have had one or two stress crying fits earlier this week). Sending you hugs!

In my second year of grad school and I really need to stop procrastinating on a couple things (mostly finding a thesis adviser), but I also just have a constant stream of schoolwork and grading (I’m also a TA) that makes it hard to do the big projects that aren’t due for awhile. I guess I’ll figure it out. Sorry I’m

I agree with all of this. You can write one main personal statement and slightly tailor it based on which school you’re sending it to, but you don’t have to write a separate statement for each school.
