Yeah, one of my college roommates is a YA fiction writer and she said the author probably published the books too fast, in order to please impatient fans, when she should have spent more time revising them before publishing.

Someone I went to high school with posted something about how Hillary is the one who should be compared to Hitler because unlike Trump, she actually killed people (because Benghazi, because of course, Republicans trying to make it a thing will never stop).

I’m also a nonbeliever, but yeah, Bill Maher’s approach to atheism really bothers me, for multiple reasons. One, going way too far with mocking people for being religious. Two, claiming to be a great skeptic and a person who has reason on their side while being an anti-vaxxer and possibly not believing in the germ…

I have terrible handwriting, and growing up, so many people were like, “With handwriting like that, I bet you’re going to become a doctor!” I didn’t, but I guess public health is tangentially related?

I’m always perplexed by how an alarming number of bronies are sexist dudebros, despite My Little Pony being one of the most feminist kids’ shows in existence.

I mean, despite the strange adult fandom, MLP is actually a pretty good show. It’s one of the only current kids’ shows I actually enjoy watching with my young cousins.

I feel like my hometown is that way, and i’m from New Jersey! I honesty felt like I met more progressives when I lived in Houston than in northwest NJ. At least now I live in New York, and I better get a job after grad school, because I can’t go back to that town again.

Idk, i’ve been feeling kind of blah for the past week, but i’m happy that I got to see my family today even though I ended up not doing cool things in the city that I had originally planned.
