You sound like a nice and polite person, but I’m laughing so ahrd at the image of someone chasing tourists down the street in NYC yelling “Hey Belgian people!”.
Yeah.... He has two jobs plus school, I was in grad school. I couldn’t afford to fly across the country when I'm trying to save up to move back where he is, and he couldn't get time off both jobs at once during a school break. It sucks a lot.

Buzz Aldrin just started teaching at my undergrad, and I’m so jealous that it’s three years after I graduated!
But one of my friends is from Ohio and just transitioned from intern to employee at NASA, and she’s probably going to space. That’s probably the one positive OH stereotype :)
That, and birthday balloons and parade floats may mean that we don’t have liquid helium for MRI machines in the future. Helium is a nonrenewable resource until we get hydrogen fusion going.
