@MyDirtySecretary: Disagree. To make my giant fort in SMP I picked a spot underground and mined a 15-black diameter circle all the way down to the bottom. It's enormous!

@NovaDeez: Well your items remain where you died. You don't get totally wiped.

@jshmoopy: The highest difficulties tend to be non-canon. Normal is usually "the way it should be played."

@Chumley_Marchbanks: Does the story reveal the shadow broker or explain a lot more about it?

@Foddz: Thanks for the tip.

@Kovitlac: That's odd for a number of reasons. Cortana was with the Chief for most of Fall of Reach, and she was a creation of Halsey. She wouldn't be buried in some forerunner ruin.

@uruzu.2: If the pictures intrigue you, and you're creative enough to think, "Well, I'm going to build a fort on that mountain and them mine down through it, or build a fort on that island in the middle of the lake, and then a bridge to it.." you'll be fine.

@Mooglecharm: They can, yes. A buddy of mine blew up a bit of my structure once, so I flooded his mines. Eventually, player vs player combat will be allowed.

Civ V:

@Hahaue: He does sleep in the wilderness. Between locations or shoots he stays in hotels.

@pat_j_mclean: Dig deep down to the bottom, then dig around. Find diamonds, then make diamond tools. Life improves drastically.

@uruzu.2: Probably not. If you can't create your own goals and decide on things you want to build, skip it.

@Mooglecharm: Yep. My friends and I have built forts on mountains separated by valleys, then built giant sky bridges to each one.

@strich: Yep, and you come across completely incredible underground mines and above ground mountains, then expand on them.

Been playing for a month now in survival multiplayer (SMP).

@borno_earth: I realize how old this comment is, but it's because the ocean is unexplored, so that shadow on the ocean is the 'fog of war'

Can anyone give me some Civ tips? I have V pre-loaded but haven't played since Civ 2.
