I believe they're thinking of moving all downloads, or at least most of them, into the Cloud.
You'll change your tune come E3, I'm sure. I'll be sure to remember your name.
A massive overreaction is going on right now. Of course the stocks are going to go down.
We already knew it was a gaming system. They're showing off the Xbox and what else it does today. That was the only point to the reveal.
Despite my support of the other uses the Xbox is being given, I am a gamer first. But this announcement does not make me angry, since it was never supposed to be about the video games. It was about the Xbox itself.
And the games will be revealed at E3. Why do you need them now? You obviously know they're coming.
Sigh, as is the case with this announcement being about the Xbox and what it does, rather than the games, you obviously didn't read my post. I left in "just about everything" because there are some cases where ignoring things does not work. But your analogy is ridiculous, because these two issues aren't even remotely…
See, that analogy would work if the Xbox was purely a gaming system. Like it or not, however, no system (Ps4, One, and Wii-U) is staying that way forever. They're starting to encompass more and this announcement, of the Xbox (not its games), reflects that.
I actually seem to be the only one who is reading. This announcement isn't about the video games. It's about the new Xbox and what it'll do. It's not just a gaming system anymore and even the 360 has been moving into different territory over the course of its life.
You're expecting consoles to be gaming systems only, forever. They can be nothing else and cannot evolve.
Yup, no harm done. I didn't know if it was sarcastic or not, so I didn't want to be too mean. Glad to see you're not like most of Kotaku's community.
Oh, Quantum Break is on another system somewhere? My apologies!
From the article: "Expanded achievements. A new and expanded achievements system captures video of your epic moments, continues to grow a game's achievements over time, and rewards you in new ways, and your Gamerscore carries over from your Xbox 360."
"It's not just a video-game console. Nothing is, not anymore, and especially not if a console wants to be successful these days. More than just gamers use consoles now. I know a lot of people, for example, who used the PS3 purely as a Blu-ray player.

See, I don't get all the hate. This is the Xbox reveal, not its games. The games will come with E3.
So why is that bad? Are crossovers not allowed to happen just because you don't like one?
Well, I mean, this is an official comic by Hasbro and IDW, so it's not fan art (not created by bronies) and its a crossover between two franchises owned by Hasbro. So... you know.
It's a good cartoon, just like Kim Possible or Powerpuff Girls. Just because it was a girly franchise in the past doesn't mean it still is. Are people who like Totally Spies pedophiles too?
