So the accounting is a bit funky, but the USWNT players actually do earn the same as the men. The issue isn’t actual pay, it’s the structure of pay. The men’s team could conceivably make more money if they actually qualify for the WC and win some games. That’s what the women are fighting for.

No, it didn't work.  At least not for the first couple of innings.  It was cringeworthy and boring.  Mind you I stopped watching after the 3rd inning because I laughed for the first 2 then couldn't take it after the 3rd, but from what I did see, it was a failed experiment.

One piece of incorrect info here (or really from Goal.com). GKs were always supposed to be on the line for PKs. The ruling before was that they needed both feet on the goal line. That rule was rarely enforced.
