Except most companies have rules around procedures around media appearances. If I get a call from the Today show, I have to clear it with my company before I can go on.

All I see is traveling.

Same, I love most of the comments as well. Although when they made the switch, I somehow got moved into the greys. Would love to get out, although now the Deadspin readers can’t be subject to my lame jokes and one-liners.

You were doing so much better than Billy until this. Congrats at ruining it with such a lazy post. The laziest being “table full of people who weren’t cheering loudly”. Really? You can tell from a picture whether or not a restaurant was loud?  Is it an audio photo like the ones from children's books?

Rousey was more overhyped than Cyborg.  Also Cyborg wasn't overhyped, Nunes is a beast and Cyborg came in with a shitty style to fight Nunes.

I made a joke about the GOP being behind this video resurfacing, but as I made it I also totally believed it too.  Crazy times were living in.

So what’s the origin of the outrage on this one? I ask because nobody gave a shit for almost 7 years and then out of nowhere it’s a huge deal.

Which is why they won’t be taxed a ton.  If they will be, they’ll just get up and move elsewhere and take the business with them.  It's why our country panders to them no matter who is in office.

Proven on a much smaller scale, not with 375 million people.  It can and should work, but it not like you can just flip a switch on and have it magically run smoothly.

And the coach did.  Read the actual NJ.com article for the full story.

They did step in and complain.  Read the actual article and you’ll see that the coaches wanted to forfeit and protest, something this version conveniently leaves out.  The kid wanted to wrestle so he went along with it and won.  But the coaches were arguing with the ref the whole time and were the ones that reported

Did you read the actual article?  The coaches were arguing/fighting with the ref the whole time until the kid decided he'd just cut his hair and wrestle so he could win.  They wanted to forfeit and protest.  So for once they were actually trying to do the right thing, something this cliffnotes version conveniently

The coaches tried to stop it and were fighting with the ref about it until the kid decided he wanted to wrestle.  But this ref felt like he was running a plantation apparently and if he's ever allowed to ref again, teams should just start boycotting left and right.

If you actually read the full story from NJ.com and not the sparknotes version here, the coaches were arguing with the ref for awhile until the ref threatened them and started the clock and the kid decided to cut them so he could compete.

Bilas still laments it and for the right reasons.  He disagrees with the NCAA and NBA forcing adults to serve an unpaid internship before they can get paid for their labor.

It's a progressive tax.  So you don't lose money by entering a higher tax bracket.  You are taxed the percentage for that amount of earnings.  If you make 50k, your first 9700 is at 10%.  From 9700-3500 is 12% and so on and so on.

This is not how taxes work.

I’m not going to bash you, but legit asking if you understand how marginal tax rate works. The 79k family isn’t paying 22% on everything.

That's pretty similar to what we did.  They used to have everyone bring in something from how they celebrate their holiday in December.  So it was a teaching lesson for us so we could learn about everyone's traditions (and in turn be more respectful of them).
