I definitely agree with you about the rejection part. It’s something that people should learn early on in their life. I know plenty of people that refuse to date because they are afraid of rejection. I just tell them dating is like baseball, hitting .300 means you’re really good!
But not all men think the same way. I agree they shouldn’t blame the system, but in the way that people are introverted/extroverted, telling men that they all need to act a certain way isn’t healthy. Just like it’s not healthy to tell women that they all need to sit back and wait. If we truly want to rid ourselves…
That doesn’t answer what we should do though. I agree with you with most of your points, but while we need to continue to focus on empowerment of women, we also need to focus on changing the stereotypes of what constitutes being “manly”. It is something that has been ignored to a certain degree and I believe creates…
It’s not just about empowering women though. It’s also ridding the social construct that men have to be providers and the “strong” one in a relationship. We have to do both in order to balance it out and get women in power as the norm. Saying men or women have to be a certain way is a bad way to go about it. We’re…
That is certainly part of it. But there has also been a huge push over the last 10 years or so of “accepting” women as they are. Not that it helps, but it at least tries to help women feel more comfortable in their own skin (which is a great thing).
That’s not a head hit though. He’s a punk, but he hit him aimed at the shoulder with his skates on the ice.
His skates are on the ice when contact is made. Plus he hits the shoulder first. I hate Wilson, but that’s a clean hit.
I know this is a joke, but you realize Highsmith used to play for the Miami’s Hurricanes in the 80s. That in itself is funnier because it means not liking Rosen for “character issues” is a joke considering his teammate was Michael Irvin.
I know Bad Boys 2 was bad and this attempt at humor was equally bad, but nobody recognized this as being a joke from the movie?
Probably because the EPL is way more balanced than La Liga. No 8-0 home wins against Gijon.
You can’t have guys pushing goalies around with their stick. Arvidsson clearly pushes Luongo with his stick. Might not seem like much, but if that isn’t interference, guys will just start pushing goalies into the net (Malkin already does this) and it’d have to be called a good goal, which it shouldn’t be.
He tweeted our rap lyrics and had some friends posting on his account...in high school. If he’s guilty of anything, it’s not deleting his twitter as soon as he accepted playing at Villanova.
So many people won’t get this, but this is such a good comment. +1
Because you can only dress two goalies and most teams don’t carry a 3rd unless it’s playoffs. The Hawks minor league team is still in an AHL playoff race and they already lost 2 goalies, so they had no choice in this case. If Forsberg got hurt last night or early this morning, they’d have a backup ready to go. But…
Its like the scene in “Do the Right Thing” when Mookie asks Pino who his favorite music artists/athletes/celebrities are and they are all black. Just bringing up the contradiction in that “you hate black people so much, yet you love everything they do”.
See, but this excuse doesn’t work most of the time. Whenever someone uses the “but I’m too young to know this” excuse, they usually get ripped apart (especially here in the Kinja universe). But because this is about Trump, people are going to overlook it.
The headline is terrible, but can’t be worse than how Embiid’s head feels right now!
But it’s the international break for FIFA!
These protesters are sexist!
