Not a huge fan of Activision (as a gamer) but I really don't see a problem with this. He makes a lot of money for Activision so they reward him nicely. They are a business after all, and to them the bottom line is what's most important.

The huge wall of flames might have something to do with it. Also, I suspect that there are quite a few sympathises in those cars.

While I agree with you for the most part I definitely think the IAU has more credibility on their side.

Hopefully this generation should be the last. I'm hoping that the hyperconnectedness of the internet generation will mean that more people will be able to move forwards with the times rather than pretend that this is still the '80s. I'm hopinh, but I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't mind a prequel, I'd just prefer a sequel. If they do decide to make a prequel though I want to see something about Humans making contact with the other species.

I dunno, it's a tough one for sure to see how they handle it. Personally I'm not a big fan of prequels/sidestories most of the time. Considering I played the trilogy every possible way I wouldn't really care which story they decide to follow, as long as they can tell a good one.

Really? I think it would be a good setting. There will probably be huge power vacuums everywhere and lots of gangs/corporations fighting for control. You go in to clean up the mess.

As someone who likes shoot-em-up gun games and has actually slaughtered quite a few animals myself, before eating them. I can personally confirm that there is in fact more blood that pours out of the animals than it does my TV. I suspect that all reasonable people would already know that this is the obvious outcome.

Honestly, as a big fan of the original trilogy I never really got into the EU, although I've always been somewhat interested in it. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they axed the prequel trilogy + EU and made a new canon, one that's properly thought out.
