I've probably pumped out over 200 applications to other jobs, but no matter what it seems like I'm doomed to this crappy position for a long, long time... yay degenerative lifestyles :D

I definitely admit, when I was on AT&T my connection speeds were probably double what I have now that I'm on Verizon. However, Verizon has a signal almost everywhere I go (except the bus stop I have to spend 20 minutes a day at fml) and AT&T had no service pretty much everywhere. -Washington DC

Instead of a single shear band propagating throughout the glass, a proliferation of shear bands form and curl back on themselves, taking longer to turn into cracks. The bands allow the material to bend before it breaks - not a property you'd expect from glass.

This is probably the coolest article I've seen in a long time. I only realized halfway through there would be a cheesy pun in this thought...

@TheFu: That's great advice, the Java part. I thought about starting with C, but all the websites basically say "if you're gonna do C, you may as well start with C++ since it's the same thing with more ability" so I strayed from that idea.
