I mean, I believe the whole point of that act was to show that they’re finally leaving the island, since, you know, Moana’s dad spent the first part of the movie telling her not to leave the island. There won’t be another rock, is what I’m saying. The shell is the last rock.

It’s very chicken-egg to me, in the sense that the Black Keys are known and long-lived enough that you could fill an arena off $30 tickets, but not $200 ones.

Who wants to pay an exorbitant cost to watch a sea of recording cellphones?

She’s a TEENAGER and her mother is right there, telling her NOT to say the name. Of course she has to say the name.

Goth Winona, forever the peak of Generation X hotness

I know who the movie is for.  The review, not so much.

If you showed me that top screenshot and told the name of the film and said it was a fake film made up for a TV show, I’d believe you.

Looks an awful lot like Netflix’s nu-MLP, too

Yes, she was shown as cute and fun, with the only “insufferable” part from the male perspective that she was obsessed with fashion. Which to be fair is no worse than males being obsessed with sports, or Marvel movies, or whatever — it’s just that as it is “feminine” it is seen as lesser than male-associated obsessions.

As one of our colleagues rightfully pointed out, the whole point of the original Legally Blonde film was that Elle was kind of insufferable before she gained confidence and direction in her life at Harvard.

That’s unfortunate. I was hoping Part 1 would be the story told from Galinda’s point of view, and Part 2 would be the entire story but told from Elphaba’s.

The show was on a par with Heroes in how it burned so brightly and burned out so fast.

Christ , practically ANY feedback about the show online I saw was that people universally HATED it, and it was one of the few times that a show didnt appeal to ANYBODY, so I’m honestly suprised to see it being defended in the comments. Oh a trotting out the ‘oh if you dont like it you’re a racist chud’ accusations is

It has nothing to do with everyone’s race and everything to do with the characters being intensely unlikable and unfunny. There were a couple good gags (the fog festival being the best), but everything it tried to do was done far better by the movie Bottoms, which is essentially just the second episode of Velma

I miss Westworld so much. Keeping that show around would cost less money and be a better net good to humanity than being reminded Velma was ever made let alone committing resources to make more seasons of it.

I assume they’re going to explain that the new emotions go away once you hit adulthood?

I thought Rene Zellweger and Joey Lauren Adams were the same person for an embarrassing amount of time.

SBC has always seemed like an asshole, so I am not surprised.

The theme song and Dream Girlfriend are my ear worms.

Now playing

I love this show. It hits the sweet spot of fast, dumb joke machine I didn’t realize I’d been missing after 30 Rock went off the air, and the musical numbers are all cringe-inducing hilarity. Too many favorites to pick from, but I just love their in-between filler track:
