I mean all of her boyfriends have either still been in a relationship or were single for only a few days when they hooked up with her. She clearly has a type

I get that relationships that are started when a person is a teen or a young adult do not always evolve well. But there are decent ways to end a relationship and shitty ways to end a relationship. This was really shitty especially since it has been so public.

Your take makes sense. But will “got dumped by Ariana Grande after 6-8 months when she convinced you to leave your wife and baby” land in the “good enough reason to call it quits” category? Feels questionable. At best.

I think everyone would be more willing to accept that admittedly common narrative if they didn’t have a baby together less than 12 months ago. That’s the part of this that feels the most insane to me.

Marvel had a real opportunity here to break out of their box and lean into the obvious mystery/paranoia of a spy thriller. Somehow, they decided to ditch that for something of a mess.

Yeah I can’t imagine MCU fans enjoying this show.... I know there’s a whole toxic section of the fanbase that cry when they have women leads or progressive storylines... but this isn’t even that.

It’s just so boring and long and nothing...

It’s nice that MCU fans finally have their The Rise of Skywalker.

Hopefully this

What a fucking moron. Ariana will have moved on from him in 6 months and all he will be left with is a broken marriage and a tarnished reputation.

Ethan Slater blew up his personal life for a fling. Ariana does not have clean hands here but he chose to treat his now estranged wife poorly.

Yikes...super messy. And when this relationship inevitably blows up in a few months, Slater is going to have a lot of soul-searching to do and bridges to rebuild, although some are unsalvageable.

Gee, a bubblegum feelgood movie starring a pretty blonde might outdraw a biopic about a brilliant but dour man who ushered in the tool to our own extinction? Color me shocked that people would want to plunk down their money for a truly escapist 2 hours in the theater vs a 3 hour slog documenting the seeds to our

Everybody loves John Cena for a reason.

Dwayne Johnson take note: Just a simple photo like the one above could actually go half way towards fixing your career.

WB isn’t looking to release another divisive multi-million dollar movie this summer, considering how well The Flash and Shazam: Fury Of The Gods did.

The state has an interest in discouraging other people from doing similar stuff that results in death. This applies to anything. Discouraging parents from doing risky things that result in death of their children is a good thing.

Thank you. But given the author I’m not surprised by the hot take making a connection with Dobbs even though this took place in California and state laws haven’t changed.

Yes and no. Superhero movies are heavily represented in the top movies of the year, but the overall box office is down, and I think it’s pretty safe to say the excitement around them (give or take a Spider-Verse) has dropped off considerably.  So fatigue is probably as good a name for it as anything.

I don’t understand the connection to Dobbs or Roe here.

I’m not seeing how this connects to Dobbs or Roe. Plus it takes place in California, which hasn’t changed its policies on access to abortion rights or healthcare. If anything it has strengthened those rights.

ANother way to frame it is that this case is in California. Dobbs has had zero effect on California’s state laws.

This is tricky. If you’re pro-choice then you have to hold that after a child is born, the parents are ultimately responsible for what happens.
