Honestly, I'm in the same boat you are. As a huge fan of Sam and Max, I was happy to see them return in full form and the comedy has been nice. However, this change of pace is so refreshing. I'm extremely pumped for whenever they release EP 2 for Wolf Among Us and well, Season 2 of Walking Dead? Can't wait for that!

I was going to say, if you take away The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead, Telltale has been primarily comedy driven in terms of adventure games released. In fact, as a long term fan, it was surprisingly shocking to see them take on such serious content and do it so well.

So, I was generally following you up until this point.

This is what really confuses me and makes completely re-question your entire entry point.

So you say you were blocked, make claims of being a prolific game journalist and do some strong paraphrasing. None of which you really provide any proof for any of us to

My feelings mirror your thoughts. My apologies for the little rant that's going to follow too.

As much as I enjoyed Nomura stepping on board for Final Fantasy VII, and while his artwork for Kingdom Hearts has been especially nice I just feel Square goes to him far too much. While I am certainly glad that Amano is

Given that he's expressed optimism for continuing a relationship with SquareEnix, I wouldn't put that dream on hold just yet.

Agreed. He's actually a big reason behind my purchase of Bravely Default.

However, I'm actually really glad at the same time. Until more recently, I felt they were just letting this guy sit around and hardly chose to utilize him. He's incredibly talented and the flare he brings to games with his European artistic

Everything, in some form or aspect, comes down to the almighty dollar. Business is still business at the end of the day.

African or Southeastern Asian/Indian are probably some of the least used races in generally anything anime related.

African seems to be much better these days, what with even Pokemon X and Y having a racial diverse population.

Rally Vincent, from the series Gunsmith Cats, is one of the few series I know of where the

Your economics humor has put a smile on my face. Thank you.

A reference to the twelve basic principles of animation?

Not to mention a clip demonstrating how applied when used with breasts!?

Be still my heart!

Oh man.

My parents always have, and probably still do, considering anime to be an equivalent of cartoons. I was in high school in the late 90s when I started getting into anime, so I bought my own. I don't think I could of ever convinced my parents.

I won't lie either, single DVDs were nice if but solely for the

I've heard rumors about how terribly overpriced LDs were, mostly in recent years.

Sincerely speaking, I feel fortunate to of gotten into anime when I did. DVDs were already starting to appear more and VHS was starting to already be phased out. It was a good time to be a fan, and less likely for you to be completely

It was tough being a fan of anime during the 90s.

These box sets, or two part releases for a reason able price are nothing compared to buying VHS or early DVDs. Back when they use to release DVDs at around 30 USD a pop, and some series running up to 8 DVDs it was murder.

I'm glad that companies like FUNimation

That's pretty spot on.

If anything else, I have to give credit to stations like KXMB a KFYR for actually TRYING to do more in recent years. Before I moved out of state three years ago, it was just dull, tired and boring news. Things feel like they've got a bit of passion behind them now. Or at least are a bit more

I sincerely can't believe that if you're going to talk about an anime buyers guide for the holidays, you aren't mentioning Rightstuf. For those on the Western side of the world, this is by far one of the biggest sales and probably one of the best online companies to shop from.

My apologies for the tangent that came from your post. That's sort of my own personal pet peeve I see a lot these days in terms of gaming, and I just couldn't let it go.

Honestly, I feel that's all that is necessary. Just because other people like thing and you tried to like it and didn't, doesn't mean you

Perhaps it's just from my perspective, but I really get where Matt is coming from.

Back when Persona 3 first came out, I was clueless on how to approach social links. In fact, I was rather clueless on how to approach the game. I ended up going through it in an aspect that resulted me dying about a third through the

Honestly, I'd really like to see that.

Especially since, as you mentioned, their ability to not be afraid to utilize fan translations of games in order to help bring a title over. I was extremely glad when I saw Felghana hit Stateside and I certainly would like Zwei II to be in that same state.

Oh ho! I knew Tom was a strong advocate for pretty much anything Falcom related, but I didn't realize how badly he wanted to bring those games over. Especially Xanadu Next. I would love to see that as a Steam release.

I, however, didn't know there was a fan translated patch. Hopefully XSEED can work something out

It really is a shame that Zwei II flopped in terms of sales. I was really hoping that it might end up getting a Western release, since I've always been curious about the title.

I'm glad you pointed this information out in your post too. A lot of releases that have come to Steam were PC first games simply being
