I feel the same! When a boyfriend of 4 months (not too long, but still!) ghosted me after making plans to go to our usually dinner the night before, I spent the weekend thinking he was in an accident, then the rest of the week feeling awful that I must be such a terrible girlfriend that he didn’t even want to talk to

My boyfriend is from a lower income household, and he now has a good tech job. HE helped me learn finances because he learned from a young age that budgeting is important no matter what, and that it’s okay to set aside a little for an entertainment budget the times you can. Being open and thinking about finances

I know I didn’t. The only reason I did well in school is I actually LIKED my classes. The whole getting a job out of desperation to pay bills thing was a huge shock to me, but it was about the only time I ever got life lessons on how taxes work!

I’m with you. I was told we were ‘middle class,’ and it took me googling what the average large-corp VP makes to figure out my Father sucks at teaching me finances. I’m out of college and had NO idea how to budget anything on my own during that time because Surprise! If they won’t tell you that, they probably don’t

YES! My best friend is getting married the 5th in Texas, and now we’re waiting for her little sister to propose to her girlfriend afterwards! It’s all getting set up for the best timing!

I finally know what I’m putting on the napkins I’m making as a fun project: “Life’s too short to iron napkins.” Thank you for making my day!
