Luckily a lot of interesting guys won't have to waste their time with someone as shallow or unintelligent as you then. You bash flashy, impractical cars and then take hatchbacks (which are more practical than a sedan) and bash them. Choose looks or choose function hunny, then stick with it.

"I do not understand people who treat cars as more than convenient transportation devices and fear we might not really be part of the same species"

" What you're paying for in a high end car is not its parts, but the labor that went into engineering and designing it."

You do know this post is 6 years old right?

Hey guys, look, this guy is mad.

Understandable. Just poking fun

FX2 4x4? I'll pay top dollar for one if you can find it ;)

Perfect reasoning why millennials aren't buying cars, our parents came out of school with little to no debt and that money could go to a car. After a mortgage (or rent), cell phone bill, health insurance, cable + internet, utilities, student loans, and gas for a used car, there isn't a lot of wiggle room for a person

You're paying for the depreciation on a lease.... plus a fee to rent the actual car, hence the mileage restrictions. The business model doesn't work if they only charge you 13,000k miles a year of depreciation and you end up driving twice that...

"Car company hires engineers to ensure people want to buy future cars"

In theory, yes. In practice, probably not.

If you could hoon any car in the world for a full day, what would be your top choice?

How does the commenting system work on here? I submitted a similar suggestion earlier on than this comment yet mines at the bottom still hidden even though it was recommended?

I'll nominate lawn tractor racing. It's the only thing a redneck can cut his lawn with, race, and then drive to the bar because his license is suspended from a DUI

Except every time people see one in public they're stopping to take pictures and ask the driver if he's ever gone 88 mph... And it has "lambo doors" that generally non-car people see as cool

You're thinking like a car-person. People love to rent Jeeps in the summer, and everyone that sees one with no top or doors wants to ride in it when it's nice out. Most non-car people would look at a Defender and think it's some only army vehicle or something

Wow, the weight surprised me. The Subaru Makes more HP, about 30 less torque though.

The trouble with the Crosstrek is it's only around 150 hp (?) at base so not great fun to drive. If I was price driven a normal Focus hatch at $19k would take the cake. The normal WRX hatch is around the same price and power as the ST but probably heavier (pulled that out of thin air based off the fact its AWD) I'd be

Not the STI, which he pictured
