I can’t say that it doesn’t have some issues, because it definitely does. If you like Kingdom Hearts, you’ll probably warm up to it faster than I did, being a more traditional Final Fantasy player, but the combat can take a lot of time to get used to (and magic is just a straight up shitshow).

Well I mean, I had heard enough good things that I bought the collection, but just couldn’t get into the interminable style of Jak II, with all its artificially extending backtracking and tonal shift. I don’t want to skip to Jak III without powering through II, so I’ll go back some day.

The game had 71 minutes of cut scenes and having a platinum trophy in MGS4 I can tell you that skipping all of those I think my fastest time for BBE was something like four hours and change. Its not that you can’t, its that developers don’t bother to program that functionality into their games. Unreal Tournament had the ability to play with mouse / keyboard on the PS3, and FFXI/XIV both have that function on PS3/PS4. The capability is there, they just usually don’t take advantage of it.
