Kirk said it himself, the cinematics running at 60fps felt weird and he wanted a hybrid FPS option to make the cinematics 30fps separately from the game. It's a valid statement, and it was made by Ready at Dawn, not Sony as a whole.

Please don't try to start something about this, there's no good outcome for anyone.

That's BS. Its obvious, and sometimes disturbing in the case of video/cinematic because of how the audience is conditioned. For gameplay, it makes a huge difference.

If you're willing to tax the audience in that respect, you might as well cast Ashley Johnson.

It's because of the relationship that Joel and Ellie have. The actress cannot be seen a sex object in any way, only as a surrogate daughter. The age of the actress will have a very real impact on audience expectations, and color their impressions of the characters' interactions. Less importantly, but also a concern,

Name one time Hollywood has ever used an older woman to play a pre-pubescent girl.

Do you think that maybe that exposition is fragmentary in the beta and you might get more of the background you're looking for in perhaps the actual complete game.

She's a little old for the role, unless they drastically rewrite the story.

I can still hear the damn music in my head. Wing Commander reboot please, and sadly Star Citizen isn't it. I want missions on the Claw, not a Privateer revamp.

It's hard to keep up with quintuple negatives. So, does no no no no mean yes?

Is that not an epee?

Not just your default view of things, sir. It is the very basis upon which the justice system is predicated: innocent until proven guilty.

If his concern wasn't for the public, then why is he addressing the public in a blog post?

Look, I don't want a 3D Futurama movie and neither do you. But I'll be damned if this test shot doesn't give me the shivers.

You must find a guy who cosplays as a giant chicken. Immediately.

It makes me long for a current-gen version of Kenseiden, one of my favorite Master System titles.

Awesome idea gets nickel and dimed by random user in comments thread.

You have that backwards, somewhat. Without Bungie and Halo, there wouldn't be an Xbox fanbase. Halo was the main driver, arguably the only driver for the sales of the first Xbox in an otherwise PS2 dominated market. Halo provided proof of concept that justified the Xbox Live service in a time where console multiplayer

I'll bet you did, Trebek!

Its a perfectly cromulent usage.
