A huge part of gamers are children.
A huge part of gamers are children.
Until gamers stop acting like children the general public will still treat gaming like a child’s past time.
I personally preferred the over-the-top stunts in Injustice over the over-the-top gore in Mortal Kombat. I don’t know, it’s just my personal preference.
Slicing the front of a dude’s face off so his brain falls out? Not funny to me
Grabbing someone, flying up to the moon, punching them through the moon until they fall…
This was my fav response to that.
Can we focus on the police violence against these kids, actually?
Nope. It is one woman and several large men—I’m pretty sure they could have immobilized her without breaking her face.
Hey Chosenxeno, people can "have passion" for a project and not want to fucking starve, y'know.
“Don’t be a modder if you don’t have the time to be a modder. Don’t be a modder if you don’t have the passion to finish your project.”
No, there just wasn’t a way for them to take advantage of a paid system before. If you want to put it on websites that will actually give your mod exposure, you couldn’t charge and had to ask for donations instead. But that’s no way to make money - you won’t make shit.
Modders have had donate buttons forever. Most mods with a few million downloads didn’t get any more than $30 so this is something a lot of people say they will do but just don’t because they are cheap and don’t give a shit. Durante has had .17% of the people who downloaded his mods donate something. But yeah a Pay…
If you don’t feel they deserve money, why do you think you should have the privilege of using the content?
I’m not surprised some modders are feeling kinda spat on with the amount of push back these gamers have made.
Ugh. It’s like the last two people in the article don’t actually live in the real world, or hold actual jobs. “Time is Money” is kind of a premise everyone who lives in the real world understands, and nothing is free.
Yeah, because that’s how the world works. Give me a slice of pizza, and I’ll pay you for it if I feel like it was delicious enough for my standards.
I hope the modders do turn off the taps, and should pull any mods they have out there in protest. There's an epic culture of entitlement in the gaming world, and the whiners need to be punished.
Bring on the hate, my body is ready.
And people forget DayZ only happened because the guy was working for BI as a temp and was doing it to learn how to use their systems.
Pretty much exactly what mod developers are saying. Even ARMA modders have attempted to go to this, such as the guys behind Six Updater (and even ACRE makes money as they sell an advanced version of that famous radio mod for the military grade version of Bohemia Interactives ARMA 3, VBS3. )
It’s not really gender-neutral, though. Since when do boys clothes include spaghetti straps? Or shorts that are actually, you know, short? Or shirts with cut outs?
Actually, some computer programs (robots) can differentiate between situations better than this human teacher was apparently able to. Perhaps we should leave dress code enforcement to the robots.
Love him! My 17 year old daughter wore a dress with spaghetti straps yesterday and when a school administrator told her to cover up she asked him if her shoulders were turning him on. She's a sassy thing and I love it.
