Yeah, agreed. The flood of crappy mobile stuff makes me leery now of anything with the Warhammer name attached. It seems like they’ll farm the license out to anyone for a quick buck.

But I haven’t tried Mordheim or Vermintide yet, and both of those look pretty promising.

The Mad Max-esque punk aesthetic is an odd choice. Especially since it doesn’t seem to mesh very well with anything else in the game. I mean, I like the idea of stuff like welding masks being appropriated as makeshift helmets. But matched with ultra-sleek and techy Warden armor? And leather vests and midriff-bearing

Wonder how much of that money the people who actually designed and built the game got.

The day you lost 10,000 league points was the most important day of your life. For Capcom, it was a tuesday.

If the connection is actually being lost for uncontrollable reasons - poor internet service, real life distractions - then the disconnects would be just as likely to happen while the player is winning. All Capcom has to do is look at a player’s record and determine if there’s an obvious pattern of most of the

If she didn’t want to be involved, she shouldn’t have tried to use her status as an advocate for human trafficking survivors to try and get a stranger fired without even checking her facts. Now she’s embarrassed and trying to scrub details of her involvement. But a reporter doesn’t need your permission in advance to

Agreed, that connectedness was a big part of the magic of Dark Souls for me. And the fact that it was mostly missing from Dark Souls 2 was a big disappointment. I hope they can recapture that feeling of one big, sprawling game world with paths winding throughout.

This episode was a big disappointment. In some ways, I saw it coming. Time travel stories almost always end badly, because there are always huge paradoxes and contradictions hanging over whatever plot resolution they come to that leave things feeling rather arbitrary.

But if she can use time travel knowledge to safely change other outcomes, why can’t she use it to save Chloe? If travelling back to the butterfly moment creates a timeline where she’s never used her power, she should be able to do anything after that point - including save Chloe - as long as she doesn’t time travel,

Or maybe Firaxis didn’t take time to consider that there are other ways of saying, “this = lady.”

I don’t think it needs defending. Play how you wanna play. Especially when it comes to single-player modes. What a waste of energy to get all judgey and preachy about how other people play.

Huh. In the early game, I haven’t found snipers very useful at all. Seems like I’m usually needing to move somewhere fast, and the sniper is lagging behind. But I’m not far in, and I haven’t yet gotten a sniper up to the higher tier abilities.

I totally get deciding that $20 isn’t worth a 2-3 hour game experience. I don’t agree with it, but I get it. Everyone is entitled to decide value for themselves.

That’s some admirable perseverance! I would have tried for a couple seconds, cursed the ADVENT, and then settled for hitting the mech and blowing up the trooper’s cover.

Now playing

I love this concept. First heard of it on the last Hey Rosetta album, where they have a song referencing it.

There’s also an awesome “Load from Character Pool” mod kicking around. I haven’t tested it yet, but it seems to mean that once you’ve painstakingly customized a trooper and saved her to the character pool, you can load all those settings onto a new trooper with the same name just by clicking a button. Which is what I

It’s probably not that important.

The guerrilla warfare aspect really only makes two major changes to the combat - it drastically speeds up the first few turns of each map, as you can move and scout a bit more freely, and it gives you the drop on the first aliens you engage by allowing you to ambush them (which is INCREDIBLY satisfying). Once you

This looks cool, and is what I personally really want out of VR: building 3D stuff. Get Zbrush running in there and let me work like I’m actually sculpting a physical object in my hands but with all the flexibility of working on a computer, and I will basically never come out.

“drive like humans, not robots.”
