I’m currently reading The Martian by Andy Weir. Super fascinating to get a glimpse into some of the science that would be involved in humans surviving on Mars. Supposedly the science and technology depicted is extremely accurate/realistic.

The other problem with the Terminator movie is inherent in it’s core premise. The objective of every single one, from 2 onward, is the same: stop Skynet. And they keep apparently stopping Skynet. But then in the next, we learn they actually didn’t stop Skynet. So after awhile it feels like, what’s the point?

Agreed. I’ve been rewatching TNG on Netflix, and it totally caught me off guard how extremely, explicitly liberal/progressive the messages are. Like, if that show got made today, conservative critics and pundits would be tearing it apart constantly.
