Whoa, that's pretty rad.
Whoa, that's pretty rad.
It's good advice, and a mindset I try to maintain. Any time I start feeling sorry for myself for whatever reason, I remind myself that it could be almost infinitely worse. There are people dealing with things a billion times more difficult and horrible and painful than anything I've ever experienced (or am likely to…
Living for a week with a poison ivy rash isn't comparable- in any way- to living for your entire life with a debilitating, chronic, and ultimately fatal illness.
But he like works in mysterious ways, or something, therefore your logic is invalid.
Maybe God is causing all this shit because of the increasing insanity of republicans posturing as His moutpiece! Ever think of that, Susanne?
I think it's fucking weird that King thinks "Saga" is integral to their brand. I have never heard a single person refer to it as "Candy Crush Saga". And I don't see how 'saga' is even remotely relevant to the mechanics or themes of their game.
Fuck King, and everyone who works there who had a hand in this. It's not just about patent trolling. It's not just that they're going after a studio that looks like it's crafting seriously beautiful and compelling games. It's this mindset that certain corporate entities have that they're entitled to stake sole…
That's a great point. The price cut is only one aspect of a Steam sale. The other is the publicity of popping up on Steam's front page. I hear people talk about and recommend a lot of indie games, but I still discover TONS of games that I never knew existed until they pop up when I open Steam.
He gets to the real heart of his argument when he says he thinks rampant sales might decrease overall dev profit. That's what he's really worried about, here. I think he doesn't like that his profits are spread out over periodic sales, and would prefer more of that income focused at the release of the game. Which is…
Not until someone releases the Hot Coffee mod...
Yeah, my thinking is similar. I have no problem with it, in concept. I don't think it's morally wrong, or inherently harmful, or anything. The key is making sure that everyone involved in such an arrangment receives equal rights, responsibilities and protections under the law.
There's not really much that's impressive about this. Looks nice enough, assuming any of it is actually representative of the real-time, in-game visuals. Also considering it's a pretty bland environment - super high-res stone and graffiti textures on blocks of geometry. Is any of it destructible? How's the cloth sim?…
I use my credit card for everything. I pay the balance off weekly, so I never pay interest and it's easy to keep track of how much I spend (online banking makes this as simple as it's possible to be). Plus I earn reward points that typically amount to a free $700 flight each year, which I use for my summer vacation.…
It's not something that PC gaming *can't* offer. It's something PC gaming has not offered in the past, because of the choices that PC game devs tended to make, i.e. to constantly push performance to the limit and chase the latest hardware.
That has GOT to be their tagline.
It's not slut shaming to point out that someone who's trying to use their butt to promote their fitness actually had butt implants.
This article doesn't come across as indulgent at all. It comes across as pretty mocking and judgemental.
Happy trails, Hans. Happy trails everyone!
