The problem with modern shooters' concept of "difficulty" is that it usually just involves jacking up enemy health and damage, which I personally find makes the game more tedious than challenging. It's not hard to simply pour a bucket of bullets into a guy as he slogs towards you, hoping he dies before he gets to you

Seriously, I don't think the average gamer has a grasp of what stuff like real-time global illumination even means. There are no current-gen games that do anything even approaching the lighting and particle effects in that demo, not in real-time.

I love how he stops halfway down and is all like "yeah, i can do this, no big deal".

I only have time to play in the evening, so I guess I should track down a local server that has it's clock set so that day and night are reversed. I like what they're going for with the darkness, but pitch black is a bit too much. It would be cool if you could at least get some visibility from m

I love survival horror, I love zombies and I love games that make you do stuff like collect food and water to keep thirst/hunger bars filled. But my experience with DayZ has been less than engrossing. So far I've spent a couple hours running through pitch-black wilderness and exploring empty houses for 30 to 45

Oh, I don't think he was trying to assign blame or anything. I don't think he was trying to guilt trip white boys. I understand what his core point was, and it's very true - some people have an inherently easier or more difficult time in our society based on things like skin color and gender. And trying to get people

And as gays, minorities, and others who struggle on the fringes of social acceptance struggle tirelessly against being reduced to broad stereotypes (which are used to dehumanize them), what the hell makes anyone think that reducing straight, white males to a broad stereotype is going to do anything to move us forward?

The foundation of institutionalized religion is that no one trusts anyone else to actually be moral or make moral decisions.

Pretty slanted view to assume the cop was just an "asshole throwing his weight around". He went into a home where there was obviously violence going on and which appeared to him to be filthy. It's not his job to investigate whether the kitchen is a mess because the poor mother is overwhelmed or because she's lazy and

holy goddamn awesome. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who forges anything in their garage is a total badass.

Okay, that picture looks really, really horrific low-res and if you squint a little bit.

Haha, amazing comment. That pretty much sums it up!

Ha! Since when has facts and science ever convinced hardcore conservatives to change their opinions about anything! If it doesn't match up with their view of the world, it's probably a conspiracy propagated by the "lieberal media".

Oh my god, mind blown. I must have it.

This game was amazing...I can't believe it hasn't been rereleased in DVD form. They could add in so much extra gameplay. Randomize events so it's not the same every time. I'd buy it.

The law doesn't take incidents like this seriously, and obviously a lot of people commenting on the situation don't either, which is why I fully support her vigilante action. Afterall, it's not like she hunted the guy down and beat the crap out of him. She subjected him to some public humiliation by letting everyone

Why would kids going to prom single "ruin" the experience for everyone else? Plenty of guys and girls went to my prom solo, and as far as I can tell it didn't have any effect on any one else's enjoyment.

They make some nice stuff, but I long ago resigned myself to the fact that I will never own a Mondo print, without shelling out a silly amount of money to some douchebag reseller on ebay.

Actually, those screens look pretty badass. They're obviously going for realistic, functional armor with a fantasy flair, which I dig. Character models look great, and that's some nice lighting. I'm curious to see this game in motion.

lol @ 1:22...if I were working in that lab, i wouldn't be crazy about being the guy who has to shove the robots around to test their balance. You know he's gonna be the first target when that thing achieves sentience and decides to overthrow it's human captors.
