This would also work perfectly as a Mario bros "?" block, that changes color and makes the coin "ding" sound when hit.

I'm confused by the implication that I can't take beach volleyball seriously if I also find the participants sexy, or that I can't respect these women as olympic champions and appreciate their incredible bodies at the same time. They two ideas are not mutually exclusive.

This technology is awesome, and I look forward to the day when super-athletes with carbon fiber bodies go head to head, jumping higher, running faster and generally doing crazier shit than any normal person could do. I would watch the hell out of that.

Yeah, I agree. It's no different than jerking off. It only strikes us as weird because it's rare.

I think criticizing the teaser is valid. The point of a teaser is to stoke interest, and the teaser for Rises is effing awful. If they weren't ready, for whatever reason, to put together a competent teaser, then they should have held off.

Doesn't strike me as any more douchey than driving with the windows down and the stereo cranked up. And it's safer than headphones.

Good analysis, I pretty much agree with all the points. Although, personally, I didn't find the ending of Lost that horrible. I watched it on DVD long after it actually aired, so it may be that my expectations were set particularly low from hearing everyone talk about how bad it is. So when I finally watched it, it

The right to bear a proton pack would make for a MUCH more awesome constitution.

This is pretty much exactly the game I want to play. I loved Fallout 3, and New Vegas to a lesser extent. Lots of great things in both those games, but the action and gunplay was pretty rough. I'm looking forward to exploring an open, post-apocalyptic world with real, satisfying FPS gameplay.

Awesome interview! I love Gibson's stuff....the classics a little more than his recent books, but it's all good. He's the only author whose work I can read over and over again, and still enjoy it.

Yes, I think this game is definitely gonna make me feel what it's really like to slide kick a man into the air, juggle him with multiple hit combo and then finish him off with my flaming magic ninja sword.

I can't wait for Mass of War: Gears Effect 3!!

I hate trailers that are nothing but a series of blindingly fast cuts that don't actually give you a good look at anything. From what I can tell, nothing in there is any different from the first Metro game.

The umbrella operatives look pretty silly. Good thing they put the female agent in a skirt, so you can tell she's a girl.

Cool. Really nostalgic, and weirdly melancholy.

The classic role-playing experience is as much about strategy as it is about play acting a character in a simulated world. And the numbers facilitate more precise strategy. Weighing trade-offs in equipment stats, recognizing when a spell or power is more effective in certain ways and less effective in others than the

Freedom of expression entitles people like Checkerboard studios to create and distribute controversial material. But the same freedom also entitles everyone else to decide for themselves whether they want to promote that expression or not.

I'd say Valve is the only company I really trust.
