or if we want to go back 2 years, the Bryce Salvador contract/making him captain
or if we want to go back 2 years, the Bryce Salvador contract/making him captain
People who talk like this don't understand goaltending at all. You know those crazy acrobatic saves? In any sport, 9 times out of 10, the goalie wouldn't have to make them if he was in position. If you're a hockey fan, it's the Tuuka Rask vs. Tim Thomas thing. Truly great goaltending SHOULD look effortless
he's actually a world class surgeon, so no, not scary at all actually
Do the wild remind anyone else of a less-talented trap-era Devils?
but the 2 games they won lundqvist stole for them. NJ was pretty much in control for the majority of that series
Their bottom 6 is garbage, especially compared to Chicago, St. Louis, Boston, San Jose, et al. There's a chart going around twitter of how bad Pitt gets crushed when their top 6 aren't on the ice compared to the teams that re actually cup competitors this year. So yea, they're not very good this year and played in an…
Why not LumbUs
between this, brodeur, and Smyth, I'm a little glad everything was locked up for the playoffs and we just got to focus on the goodbyes this past weekend
I like Pete DeBoer in general, but sometimes I get the feeling that he only understands possession on a team basis and waves it away on individual players. But then again, he's benched Salvador for this recent push they've been making so who knows?
The bizarre other side of the Maple Leafs far outperforming their underlying stats is the Devils of the last 2 years who have been a top 2 or 3 possession team and yet might miss the playoffs both years. There have been a number of games where NJ has out-attempted teams by 10-15 and lost on a deflection.
You'd think it was midterm season with all the bearing down that's going on
Nope, I think we're all looking forward to Lipscomb or whoever knocking off a 1
By the way, it's since come out that he was flat out lying
So we're all picking the Atlantic Sun champions to win their first game next year, right?
No love for Dashboard?
Somebody, I think Tyler Dellow, brought up that each of the last 5 years a team that's normally a contender cratered out and ended up with a top 5 pick unexpectedly (Philly, nj, Montreal, and 2 others I can't remember). It makes you wonder if there's something about these teams seeing themselves out of it in march for…
Guys the leafs are the best Canadian team right now. Let's all take a few seconds to think about how this happened since everyone definitely shares a little blame
This isn't unheard of though, I mean it was for seeding so a little different, but I remember the devils once pulling their goalie at the end of a tie game where they were 1 point behind the team they were playing and would lose the tie-breaker. It's a little jarring to see, but I don't get that it's necessarily a…
Bigger plot twist? Kevin Spacey is Keyser Soze or Eddie Lack is the Canucks starting goalie in 2014
