I quit using wallpapers back in the 90's when they really did impact performance. Properties, Select None for wallpaper, goto Appearance, and make the Windows Classic desktop the darkest non-black blue(to distinguish from an off monitor) possible. Easy to replicate on any new computer I use. Home again!
@joshboard: Don't read the Gospel of Mark, then!
Don't pay for a plan if you can do it 'on demand' works for me. I recently went to a pay-as-you-go cell phone, so now I don't text on a whim. We have one TV, so we have to interact and negotiate what we watch and we often watch it together. Pay-per-view for the Grey Cup (CFL championship) cost a lot less than…
I've known this for decades, though the version I learned was flip, catch,and flip onto the back of the other hand. If you do this the other person can flip, and the odd are still 50% that the result will be the side that was face down when it started on the thumb.

@sam-a: Good one!
"Con man" comes from "Confidence Man", whose tactic is to make the 'mark' feel confident that the mark is on the winning end, knows the answer, etc. Absolute statements feed into this—we feel the confidence of the politician, and absolute statements are part of that.

Having been a PDF fanatic for some years, I really welcome more eBooks in ePub format.It flows better on any of the eBook readers I've used or tested, and even well with the Calibre eBook reader software/library organizer/converter. (BTW, no matter what eBook reader you have, you WANT to also have Calibre. I haven't…
