The final battle in Big Trouble in Little China was hilarious crazy fun

I’m with you on this—that scene was awesome, and they even built their own Guggenhein Museum set to scale just to film it.

Hopefully she dons that outfit in the movie when she joins the X-Men; I’m guessing that they’ll introduce her as a villain first (as one of the Horsemen), then she joins the team after they take on Apocalypse. *crosses fingers*

At last! A truly well-deserved nomination, and even if she doesn’t win, the mere fact that she was included is a good start. Now if only the Academy would give the same recognition to Eva Green, I’d be ecstatic.

Just saw the movie, and Bryce Dallas Howard’s role is one of the worst—she tries to be John Hammond in the first half and Ellie Satler in the second half, but fails as both. The worst, however, is that teenager who plays Bryce Dallas Howard’s nephew—he needs more acting lessons as he had this vacuous expression…

Every time I watch it, I’m transported back. Every time, my heart soars when I see that brachiosaurus walking around a world just like ours.

The more I see these promo shots, the more I dislike them, particularly the art—it looks cartoony, flat and 2D, like they were cel sheets for an animated series.

I could never stand Melissa McCarthy’s “angry, vulgar fat lady” routine in all her previous movies, but here in Spy that routine works very well indeed...so far, this movie is perhaps the funniest movie I’ve seen this year. And her role is not dumb—in fact, she’s the smartest person in the entire film, even smarter…
