A few months ago I was walking back to my car after a work-related happy hour with my co-worker who is a tall, black guy, built like a linebacker. Out of nowhere, an SF police officer stopped us, looked at me pointedly and asked "Is everything ok ma'am?"

I was as at a house party and a friend called and said that he got pulled over, and despite the fact that he had a suspended license and had been drinking, the cop was letting someone come and get him and drive his car home so it wouldn't get impounded.

Because white people need other white people to tell them it is real. It's the only people they seem to trust.

"Who is this helping? How is this helping? These are questions that all allies should be asking themselves. "

Fair enough, and I feel you.

But I think there are A LOT of really cloistered white people who, without firm examples of how whites are given preferential treatment by law enforcement, would simply deny white

I dunno.

I think it's super important, especially because conservatives are citing Garner's 30 arrests for petty crimes, for crimes that we are seeing a million times over with the #crimingwhilewhite hashtag, as a reason why this man deserved to die.

#crimingwhilewhite is directed at the many, many people, who argue that Mike Brown deserved to be killed because he stole "cigarillos" and "punched a cop in the face." These people also claim any white kid doing the same actions (although they generally believe white kids would never do such awful things!) would get

I took #CrimingWhileWhite to be for the nay-saying white audience, actually. People saying, "Well, I'm white, and I've been in trouble! It can't be a racial thing!". These people already are dismissing what black people are saying about their own experiences, and so white allies are attempting to fill in the space

Fun things to find out about your family while home for the Holidays: Dad watches a shitload of Fox News. It drives me bananas.

Well I didn't know so many illiterate Conservative Fucktards knew how to spell "Progressive", so I guess we both learned something today.

No she didn't! Honestly of all the random things the rest of them decided to take issue with, the thing with Keith is the only questionable thing she actually did. I think she lied, and I don't understand why should would considering that she knew the other girls didn't like her and could easily verify the information

"How dare you call me out on my lie??? I guess now I am forced to sleep in this hallway because you are all so terrible for calling me out!!!!"

Also Jez should post recaps on ANTM!

I'd vote no. Sexy times would have been filmed because cameras are never off. But audio is not always on. So for me, it is more likely that she told the girls a lie.

She was totally lying about hooking up with him. She wanted to make herself seemed desired because she knew no one could stand her.

Can we just award America's Top Model of all time to Keith already?????

I loved her, but her Stinky attitude totally put me off, I think she def lied. Oh well, looks like her career is popping off regardless.

I really, really doubt they did. Which is why she told the other girls not to say anything about it to him, and why she refused to talk about it when he confronted her. She knew she'd get caught in a lie if he found out what she said. She lied about other stuff, too. She kind of sucks.

Well you're a fantastic friend! I was so lucky to have people like that in my life when I went through my divorce at 25. I was super committed to not needing anyone because I was so embarrassed about what was happening that I didn't depend on them too much. Except for one night, a late night phone call to a friend,
