The same exact words popped into my head when I read Ninja’s comment. Too many people see the grind as integral to RPGs when in reality its more of an unavoidable side effect of a using an xp based level/progression system. The best games are the ones that make that grind dynamic and engaging (like Steam World Dig 2)

The spirit bomb has failed multiple times to secure the “W” this tournament is just another example of that.

I’m with you on that. We have a place that makes their own maple syrup here and I will be bringing a small bottle with me when I go.

That’s my hope too. BotW is genre redefining and full of things that that should become the “baseline” for open world games going forward and while that is a triumph it isn’t perfect. Only 1 out of 5/6 “dungeons” can be considered great (obviously Hyrule Castle) and while I understand the reason for the minimalist

While I was in China Family Marts were a god send. I do agree that the 7-Elevens are not as good but they are still a great place to grab a quick bite/drink and their selection is way beyond anything you’ll find at a 7-Eleven in the US.

That’s just the way it is. My friends made a twitter account for a tree stump making stupid quasi-reflective posts and it had about 200+ followers for some reason.

I’m going on 35 years old and am embarassed at how much my face lit up at the thought of starring in a Super Sentai short film.

I hate BofA with a fiery passion. Banking with them is one of the most toxic and parasitic client-customer relationships I’ve ever had. I kept one of my accounts with them open just to have a place to deposit cash quickly (I primarily bank with Simple) but with this bullshit I pulled the plug on that the moment I got

I mean if there is a deeper message beyond the dangers of idol worship and the importance of family in relation to staying true to yourself (all good kids story messages) than yeah it probably missed me by a mile. I still think it was a good movie but maybe your ability to relate more to source material or just higher

IMO Coco was a very by the numbers story told with the flair, care, and attention to detail for a culture not properly represented in Hollywood. I actually find it funny how many of my friends assumed the whole attacking/threatening with a shoe running gag was due to the family being shoemakers and not realizing that

I never said the games were patches of each other. I said that if Melee was made during a time when balance and game play patches were a thing wavedashing along a few other tech would have likely been patched out.

Honestly I used to not hate the “Melee is best” crowd cause I could understand how the floaty/gimmicky mess that was Brawl had rooted them in their ways. It was such a terrible follow-up so having to wait another 6 years and still not getting an HD version of what you were playing for the last decade with a new

Divinity 2 not getting GOTY nomination is one of the greatest crimes for video games this year (behind only EA’s very existence). I’m not sure it would have won but it had more of a reason to be there than PUBG a game that hasn’t even officially released. How can a game be nominated for GOTY while announcing its

I wonder if this is gonna start another trend...

Any loot crate system is only “good” if it exists as an addendum to a system where you can simply buy the items you want. if every skin was $10+ you would have the choice of either spending the cash upfront or gambling to get what you want for cheaper. Make it so that seasonal skins are only purchased directly during

I use the Mario 64 outfit exclusively in the mushroom kingdom, it just brings the whole area together especially when jumping into a painting.

Apparently Kotaku UK did an interview with someone familiar with the roll out of this feature who said Nintendo wants to start by getting 30 second clips patched into all first party games (odyssey and beyond should have it at launch) and 3rd party games using their IPs and once that is done open up the options for 1,

Basically every level is broken into small segments connected by launch pads until you reach the “goal” which is a zapfish stuck in a lightbulb. In this particular level there are grapple points that pull you towards them when hit with your ink and in the video the player is just hitting them from the most optimal

I would be down for it if they kept the universe but followed different characters. In a universe as crazy as theirs I imagine there are a lot of other adventures waiting to be told.

I agree, despite how team based the game is a lot of matches are won and lost based on the results of some key 1v1 duels so having a camera on each of them could provide some nice entertainment or at very least some interesting replays after the fact.
