You can recall your horse from any stable. Once I get off my horse to explore I basically don’t go back for it if it can’t reach me/doesn’t hear me and just pick it up or grab a different horse from the nearest stable.

Why waste your weapons killing the roaming guardians when they only have one attack that can easily be parried back at them? Even if you aren’t good at parrying you can get items in the northeast that kill them in one hit.
