Oh dude, if you want a game with good story-telling try To The Moon. But be prepared to sigh or cry. That game is about growing up, but beautifully told, it can also be very funny at times.

Mistborn, also all his books are in the same universe, even though it doesn't seem like that at first. There is a certain character that pops up in every one of his books. I think each book takes place on a different planet. It's all very interesting.
His Mistborn series is spectacular IMO.
