Owen, you should add Curt Anderson's entry in its place. I think the only reason he didn't get a mountain of votes is that kinja buried it. It's fantastic.

Up until this week I might not have agreed, but a lot of GREAT entries that took a lot of work stayed out so that penis bear could stay in. It's lame.
It kind of makes me want to stop participating in these to see this not getting a nod and the penis bear up there on display.
Yeah, that's the stuff I'm talkin' about. I just like supporting local companies. I probably phrased it wrong initially.
I hate ribbons too. Really bad decision.
I feel like you're telling me I'm wrong. Here's the thing: You can't deny that my workflow takes more clicks and button presses than it did before now. You just can't. I'm fully utilizing shortcuts and hotkeys. I'm not counting the clicks that ribbons added in this number.
I…
Woah, that's cool. Gonna go look for screenshots now.
Yeah, it's a fair point. And probably what triggered his reaction as well. It's not where my comments were coming from (Really, was thinking about economics not people) but my initial phrasing definitely didn't succeed in differentiating my thoughts from the xenophobe types.
I'm just bummed about the scumbag stuff…
I'm aware. Those are but two of the "extra clicks and button presses that it takes to do things that you could do with less clicks and button presses in 7" that I'm referring to.
If Gabe was cool, he'd show up in THESE comments to chime in.
I have a win 8.1 machine that I use for audio production and I disagree quite a bit. It's close, and has some good ideas, but it's still a poorly designed interface that takes more clicks on average to get where you're going than the old one, especially if you're messing with settings and hardware.
It's not RADICALLY…
Didn't see the wookie one earlier. Brilliant!
Follow-up question though because I think you're a good source of better info than I was working with - If they do enter into a coexistance agreement, won't that ultimately cost Stoic money? I can't imagine that there wouldn't be a downside to Stoic in this scenario.
Thanks - That's actually really helpful and informative. I'll stand down on the economic front. It sounds like you and I are right on the same page on not agreeing with what king is doing, though. I'll focus on the fact that it's disgusting and leave the nationalism out in the future.
I'm kinda bummed that so many…
Um wow. I'm not any of those things. I HATE US copyright law so you are wrong when you say that I support it. I HATE it. I am not a hick. I am not a redneck. I am a diehard liberal, in fact. And I support opening the borders to immigration and was in favor of the DREAM act.
How on EARTH did you read all of the things…
I already addressed this elsewhere in the thread. To repost: "My concerns are economic, not racist. I love foreign companies! I just hate copyright trolls, especially ones who suck money out of our economy through copyright trolling. If they were a US company engaged in the SAME practices then at least the money they…
I'm not going to engage with you any further. You're being silly.
... But none of that has anything to do with the taco's comment. And you just admitted in your last two sentances that you actually agree with the observation that this looks like basically an hd rehash of the same thing.
I'm not saying YOU'RE wrong, dude. I'm saying that NOTHING that you're saying invalidates taco's…
My concerns are economic, not racist. I love foreign companies! I just hate copyright trolls, especially ones who suck money out of our economy through copyright trolling. If they were a US company engaged in the SAME practices then at least the money they make by being scumbags would stay in our economy.
