Giants “head coach”? (nitpicky, I know, but it sticks out)

Can’t stop laughing out how ridiculous the announcers are. They are screaming OH MY GOD with more drama than in any Superbowl or World Cup moment. The broadcasters reacting to 9/11 live as it happened didn’t react with as much fanfare.

Making a big-budget movie every couple years gives directors the financial freedom to take on indie or low-budget projects with the rest of their time.

Too bad he can’t relinquish his amateur status mid-tournament. Although I guess being an amateur is what got him qualified in the first place.

It’d be funny if this became a new loophole for getting college athletes paid. Make a video game with their likenesses, get sued, pay the money. The athletes can accept the money without losing amateur status because it’s not an endorsement, it’s legal recompense.

Some of these exercises are the same ones I got in physical therapy for a dislocated finger that didn’t heal right at first. And they did fix my finger. So I endorse this as not being just some BS.

Ha, that was the worst aspect of the anime. Just endless, over-dramatic, yelled speeches.

They could have kept that element in but swapped it. I.e, Mikasa as one of the few remaining Caucasians or Africans, while most everyone else is Japanese.

Well, at the point the anime got to, we don’t know where the titans came from. Biologically, they aren’t just giant humans. Or even giant mammals. They’re something very different but we don’t know what. They might be aliens, or something created in a laboratory. So they don’t necessarily have to have vocal cords

That’s what I noticed too. The anime has a somewhat muted color palette (lots of brown), but is still quite vivid. This is all grey and muddled, like so many bad sci-fi/action movies. I hated that about the 2014 Godzilla...every scene was at night and cloudy.

Well some of that is just physics/biology. Very large animals tend not to be as proportionately fast as small ones. But there are some titans that can sprint very fast. And most of the titans are capable of swatting the humans out of the air like insects.

How much does it really cost ESPN to keep Grantland around as a loss leader? I mean, it’s a $40 billion company, and they can’t keep around a little site with a staff of 25 writers? Fire Chris Berman and you save a few million right there.

Agree. I still love the first album (was in high school when it came out), but I have no interest in anything new from them, and I’m not sure why they warrant this long of a review.

Now playing

Dang, just rewatched the video of that. Textbook fencing response. And yet he held on to the ball!

I’ve used dryer sheets like 10 times ever, and I don’t really understand what they do, except smell bad. Count me in among the anti-fabric softener crowd.

Can I be the voice of reason and point out that she probably wasn’t murdered in her jail cell? I mean, it’s possible, but everyone in the comments seems to be convinced this is a cover-up.

I don’t think so...he doesn’t come close to Nicklaus anymore.

And as a player is being assaulted on the field of play, the game clock just ticks on. That’s ridiculous! What if time ran out while he was trying to clear trash away from the ball?

I think the big thing is training the body to learn that you mostly control & steer by leaning or shifting weight, not by turning the front wheel. Just like skating, snowboarding, etc. To much wheel turning can get you into wobbly trouble, like in the video above. When I was 15 and riding my bike every day, I’d ride
