How?! How do you run a casino at a loss?! It’s even more improbable than running an auto racing team at a profit.
It’s just fascinating to see the social media meme-cannons of the right-wing bullshit sphere firing non-stop fusillades at Ocasio-Cortez. They are truly worked up over her.
Yeah, he “self made” a couple million starting with the $200M his dad gave him.
^^^ This is in fact my understanding of the GOP base.
Porque no los dos? The causes you cite are definitely key drivers, but it’s flatly incorrect to say that the closings and layoffs have “nothing to do” with the tax cuts and tariffs. The tariffs intensified the economic pressure from the product mix / gas price / legacy pension cost / etc. issues.
My experience talking to these politicians is that they are squarely in the idiot category. As for Trump, it’s glaringly obvious that he doesn’t understand supply chains even one little bit. His model for economic activity is basically stuck in 17th-century mercantile ideas.
No, not in this case. As with the dot-com boom, some of the companies were real and some of the assets were long-term generators of cash flow.
I also think the latest Audis and BMWs are overstyled inside, but Cadillac’s interior materials just aren’t there. The buttons are too slick and shiny. The door cards are too grainy and not soft enough for the price class. And the leathers are stiff and artificial feeling, and there’s no detailing to make the seats…
I would drive a Fiat and wait for people to get the joke.
I just realized that the car in the “Hey Ladies” video is an Eldorado, even though the lyric is about a Coupe de Ville.
Aha! That makes both of us. If Lamborghini had made their SUV some sort of Syd Mead fever dream, I’d be saving my pennies up to buy one. As it stands, the first $350k car I intend to buy is still a Countach.
I’m a touch over 40 and many, many Beastie Boys lyrics have conditioned me to want a Coupe De Ville and/or a Bro-haaaam.
I’m told by a couple of mechanics that the bore scoring issue is (1) primarily on low-mile cars, presumably because those get started “cold” and with dry bores more than cars that get driven more frequently, and (2) happens if you use Mobil 1. If you use Brad Penn, Redline, or somesuch, there’s no bore scoring worry.
Just a wild guess here - do you work for GM?
The CT6 is priced in line with the E-Class and 5-series. It’s a value play for the “size matters” crowd. Unfortunately for GM, its interior is more in line with an Avalon or Genesis.
“Tell him I’m calling on behalf of Paris Hilton.”
They fold up to the sides so you can still slide cargo in there. Or at least that was the original design.
I am trying so hard to resist the urge to call the Bentley dealer and ask this.
Or a Caterham Super Seven.
