I wouldn’t bet on it. Lotus has sold so few Evoras that used prices have been pretty firm. It’s just in the last year that the early non-supercharged models are dropping into the high $40k range. A used 430 is going to be rare as hen’s teeth.

The “regular” 430 has a gigantic rear wing. The “Sport” doesn’t. So the “Sport” is the one for people who want to drive their Evora on the street without looking like they just upgraded from a WRX STi.
You are wise, my friend.
Wife: “You love that car more than you love me!”
+1. Not my kink, but this was hilarious to watch.
+1 on the Huaracan. Pictures really don’t do justice to its sublime curves.
There’s an app for that already, my friend: <http://www.filld.com>
I guess if you squint a bit it’s the Italian version of the Mercedes SL, or the spiritual grandfather of the Ferrari California. A jaunty convertible GT is a perfectly lovely thing to aspire to. The TC is not the one I’d pick, but then again no Mercedes SL ever had those pillow-top Italian leather seat cushions.

BMW has now become the Oldsmobile / Buick of upper-middle-class Gen X, and the X7 is basically the 1974 Buick Estate Wagon. It will soon be considered hopelessly baroque and uncool (except in China, where baroque will remain cool until this first-generation wealth chills out).
Yeah, this. I’ve had the ownership experience in one and the driving experience in several. They’re simply not enjoyable on very many US roads. Dubai, maybe. But here? Our *great* driving roads are 2nd and 3rd gear roads, where a narrow car with a compliant suspension is what you really want. Anything more than 400…
Depends on the policy, but most likely NADA Blue Book value. Some policies will guarantee for replacement value, which I suppose may still be over MSRP right now.
+1 on ‘damn that’s ugly.’ I wish they had lifted more styling themes from the new NSX, which looks fantastic.
A new Miata leaves very little money for strippers.
Erm, really? This is not my experience of the current (post-interior-facelift) Challenger and Mustang.
I am resisting the urge to browse Craigslist.

I’m pretty sure if you stuff it with a bunch of rice you’d end up with steamed rice with a lot of e.coli in it. And maybe a couple of crayons and legos for flavor.
This is *Jalopnik*. Most of the readership is driving something less practical / reliable / responsible than they could be. Not sure how that’s any different than people being ghetto fabulous in their 10-year-old Bentley.
A Flying Spur for “new 5-Series” money is pretty tempting.
