Yeah, and they got stolen all the damn time. My uncles both had Eldo Biarritz’s for a while and we lived in a bad neighborhood. So many “my CB got stolen” stories. The hilarious thing is that the local fence was a friend of ours, so they’d usually get them back, minus a little vig to Fish the Fence.

LOL! Ok, I’m convinced. Off to Craigslist...

At first I was like “Challenge Accepted!” But looking at the details, this just looks like a $200 car that will strand you at the side of the road and lead to $300 in towing fees. Life’s too damn short.

We should do this to basically everything Italian from the 1970s and early 1980s. Cantankerous damn motors that didn’t make nearly enough power to begin with. Replace them with torque-tactic electric motors and roll in the HOV lane.

That’s *still* funny as hell.

Well, they’ve cut off access from the air.

Alex, you have multiple high-speed driving records and track experience in all kinds of serious equipment. He’s got a bunch of purchased Instagram followers and man-boobs. Post your own tire review to show him up; you don’t have to stoop down to his level.

Agreed. Depends on the car - rarity, desirability, importance. I’ve got two cars that I’m just the temporary steward of, but I’ll be driving my daily driver until it fails in some catastrophic irreparable way, at which point I’ll sell the interior parts and everything extraneous on eBay, weld a cage in it, and take it

Stef’s at the low part of the Dunning-Kruger curve. I’m probably about in the same place; I’ve done enough track time to know how gigantic is the skill level of a pro racer / test driver compared to my weekend-warrior self.

Agree. This is very Beavis and Butthead - I thought Alex was more of a real G than this.

Shockingly, covering your car in money is cheaper than doing it in Plasti-Dip.

It’s a live-axle suspension back there, so I don’t think there’s even anything to align. The thrust angle is either down the center line of the car, or it’s not, and you adjust the toe of the front wheels to line up.

This deserves more stars. C’mon people - a little love for van humor up in here?

Or is spending money that isn’t theirs, and doesn’t think about it at all. All the guys I know with $10M worked their way there, and they’re pretty sensitive to being ripped off.

This is awesome.

Well, case by case. Makes sense at U of M Ann Arbor, UC Berkeley. Maybe some specialty majors like Comp Sci at UIC Champaign-Urbana, or music at IU.

I like the way you think, sir.

The Espada, which will require $150,000 of work to become a $125,000 car. Worst-case with a 348, probably, is that you need $10k of service to make it a $50k car.

It’s a personal taste thing, but I can’t warm up to the looks of the 550/575. I also hate the interior - the Testarossa is way more comfortable for me.
