Seems like an obvious choice for the livery-car set.

Can confirm that the new version is actually pretty fun. Sadly, it is no longer cute. But it is far better to drive than the old one.

Koenigsegg got their start with a Ford V-8 for motive power. Not such a bad thing.

Yep, we both missed that window. I sold my 993 in 2011.

I remember driving a co-worker’s GS-R and it was sublime. Every Honda I’ve been in from that late-80s / early-90s era was just so sweet to drive.

I’m pretty sure you could borrow money to buy an FD RX-7 or a sweet Integra R and come out ahead on that deal.

There is “gap insurance” for that, and it’s not that expensive.

Or just regular people who have no damn savings, because that’s America now. The *average* buyer buying a 5- or 7- year old car is, by definition, buying an *average* car. These are people getting CamCords, Altimas, CRVs, and F-150s because they’re trying to buy the most reliable car they can squeeze into their crappy

I’ve found that non-running cars tend to result in panties remaining up. Anything with the Jag HE V-12 is CP on that basis.

An 2003-’06 CL500 (with Airmatic instead of ABC, and the bulletproof M113 V-8 instead of the valves-o-plenty V12) is a very solid car for small money. I’ve been dailying the sedan sibling - total bargain. The Airmatic bits are available in the aftermarket at this point.

I once again marvel at how you find this stuff.

Judging by the number of those little bastards passing me in the last Lemons race, you can get them for less than $500.

One of my favorite teachers in high school had one of these, and she let me drive it on occasion (usually when her bad knee was hurting too much to work the clutch). Light, very direct steering, and lots of fun to drive. Comically slow by modern standards, but if you were drag-racing a Ford Escort 1.6 or a Chevy

Only the high end. Even $12m in fees doesn’t move the needle at Ford.

Here’s the original Round-Door Phantom. In comparison, this Sweptail thing is chunky and ungainly.

You’d have to update the cockpit avionics and sensors, too. Big dough there.

Yeah, this is way too painful. I would think you could find a 1st-gen Jeep Liberty (the good one) for like $1000 in Detroit.

C’mon, it’s not *all* opinion. Why does everyone’s list of the “Top 50 Most Beautiful Cars” have such similar content? A very small minority of people think the E-Type Jag looks bad, or that the Aztec looks good. It was obvious from the beginning that the original Mini was a great design, and the Ford Anglia it

Good, fast, cheap: Pick two.
