I thought this was a 2013 only thing.

Yeah it's a big risk, and like I said, if you can't pay your debt, you shouldn't even be bothering looking at other investments.
mind=blown
So keep in mind, this chart is normalized on a "consumer unit", which appears to be based on a $68,800 annual (pre-tax) income. You'll want to pay more attention to the % of pre-tax income spent on the items. Also keep in mind this is what we do spend money on... not what we should be spending money on necessarily.
I certainly don't put all my spend on alcohol in the alcohol section, it makes me look like an alcoholic...
Uh... it can be. As S_T_R was pointing out, paying more than the minimum on a 3.4% loan ends up costing you more in opportunity cost then if you pay the minimum and invest the rest. Granted, if you can only make the minimum payment, then ABSOLUTELY pay your student loans.
This is great advice from a great man.
Seems cool, but that flag list made me nervous. I was getting strong "don't mess with this" vibes that were ALMOST strong enough to counteract my "I wander what this thing does" tendencies.
Even if it sticks with only 1% of that audience, he did us all a huge favor.

There are jobs that require certain levels of education, doctors, lawyers, researchers, astrophysicists, college professor, engineer etc. and there are just as many jobs that do not require degree, see everyone else's examples (so I…
That's what I was referring to, it just feels so... effortless.
I feel so lazy when I don't even bother to pull out my phone when I install the apps you review. Anyway, I'll give it a shot, but I never used the feature, or even the dual app feature on my GS4 before I rom'd it. Even with a 5in screen it felt crowded with two things going at once.
Hmm so it's not the absence of the education that's the problem, its the delivery. Were there any parts of it you found useful/interesting? Did the teacher make it a competition or were you just kind of rolling along?
All good points. I guess our kids are doomed to make the same mistakes we did.
I'm all for supporting the academic side of all things, but ffs economists have trouble explaining the damn LIBOR rate let alone teenagers out of high school.
